MUSIC

In the past year, the music department has successfully

continued its ministry to Walker Church. The Chancel Choir

includes 17 members who sing at the 11:00 am service, while

the Praise Team includes 5 members who sing at the 8:30 am

service. In addition to special choir music at all of our services,

we also enjoy soloists and various ensembles throughout the year.

The new handchime choir presented several performances, including

special Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter music.

The Choir and Praise team provided their annual Thanksgiving,

Lenten, and July 4th programs, with good attendance from our

congregation. They presented special music at our Christmas Eve

service, 3 services on Easter Sunday, and during our annual revival

in September. They also performed their caroling program at the

Madison Tour of Homes. Walker UMC is blessed with an enthusiastic

and dedicated music department who gladly sacrifice their time and

talents for the benefit of its ministries.
