MEN’S CLUB REPORT

The annual Fishing Tournament is on slate for Friday, April 17. The sign-up for this event is $20.00 per person donation and I can assure you, according to Tom Collier, there will be lots of great prizes and everyone will get a fish lunch. Tom is looking for prize donations, so if you have any item or service or know of any merchants willing to donate, please contact Tom.

We will not have a regular meeting in April as the Fishing Tournament will serve as the meeting for this month. So, the next scheduled meeting is May 16th. We invite all men to attend this meeting; I believe you will be blessed by doing so.

ADULT MINISTRIES—

Twenty-five Walker Church members and friends attended a stage show production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS in Monroe, Ga. on Friday, March 13 at The On Stage Playhouse.  We enjoyed a very good supper with excellent service at the newly established Angus McGee Restaurant.  One of the highlights of the evening took place when Joe and Donna Kicklighter discovered that the theatre building was, at one time, a Primitive Baptist Church.  However, no conversions from Methodism occurred.

The next opportunity to enjoy a stage production at The On Stage Playhouse in Monroe will be on Friday, May 15.  A sign- up sheet is in the Fellowship Hall.  We will enjoy supper at the Angus McGee Restaurant once again. The theatre production is Agatha Christie's best loved "who done it", TEN LITTLE INDIANS.

On Friday, June 19, it is tentatively planned (we need 30 participants) that we will enjoy once again a Theatre InThe Square production of "SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN) in Marietta, GA.  The cost for this trip is estimated at $30 for the theatre ticket and $40 for the bus seat. We will stop somewhere along the way and enjoy supper.  A sign- up sheet is in the Fellowship Hall and we must have 30 participants by April 15.  Please feel free to invite your friends and neighbors.
