ADULT MINISTRIES

              The trip (Oct. 26-29) to Pigeon Forge, TN was enjoyed by 34 Walker Church members and friends including six members of Greensboro UMC. This was truly an outstanding trip with excellent motor coach and driver service and very good hotel accommodations.  The participants enjoyed shopping and attending several very good performances including "The Miracle", the story of Jesus Christ from Birth to Resurrection.

              On Nov. 20, 17 Walker Church members and friends enjoyed the play "Driving Miss Daisy" at The Onstage Theatre in Monroe, Ga.  Before the play we enjoyed supper together at Lou's Soda Fountain and Grill in Social Circle.  This rather unique restaurant is a trip back into 1950's and the food is very good.

              The next outing is at UGA Performing Arts Center on Sun. afternoon at 3 PM on Dec. 6.  This will be a Christmas Concert followed by supper at Fatz Restaurant in Athens. Fifteen are signed up for this event.

              The bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall contains sign-up sheets for additional On Stage Theatre productions, UGA Performing Arts Center performances and a Gaither Concert.  Please sign up if you are interested in participating.  Other possible (not definite) trips being considered for 2010 include a two day trip to Highlands, North Carolina, a five or six day trip to Branson, Missouri, and another four day trip to Pigeon Forge.
